1984

What is there to say about a classic of this magnitude that has not been said much better elsewhere? To me, one of 1984’s best and worst quialities is its cultural significance. “Big brother” etc. are popular concepts and rightly so, but to some degree their popularity takes away from fully experiencing the full extend of the books brilliance. This, however can hardly be held against the work. Orwell did extraordinariy work and is rightly celebrated for it.
