These notes are old and were written while reading — they don’t necessarily reflect my current views.

The story of the prince of Denmark, who is visited by the ghost of his dead father who tells him, that he was murdered by his brother in order to take the throne and his wife. Hamlet is torn in what to do. He stages a play of a brother killing the other for the throne and the queen in order to see how his uncle reacts. He is furious after noticing the insult. Hamlet then goes into madness, tell of his love-interest who afterwards kills herself.

Hamlet is a relativist and sophist. He believes that there is not inherent good and evil and it should be questioned if it’s better to be or not to be.
