Vigil: Hong Kong on the Brink (Columbia Global Reports)
These notes are old and were written while reading — they don’t necessarily reflect my current views.
It’s a historical summary of Hong Kong’s relationship with the mainland. It is clearly partisan, which is not much of a problem for me (as I am of the same opinion), but needs to be taken in consideration. It gives an especially good overview over the various protest movements. Furthermore, I adore the comparison between Hong Kong and pre-reunion west Berlin.
Other than that I can’t really say much about it.
